FedEx Names New Chief Customer Officer
FedEx has promoted Brie Carere, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, to be the company’s first Chief Customer Officer. She also was named co-President and co-CEO of FedEx Services.

As Chief Customer Officer, Carere will bring the strategy, sales, product development, digital experience, marketing, communications, customer experience, revenue management, and FedEx Office retail teams under one function.This new alignment will support a strategy that focuses on a complete end-to-end customer experience with an emphasis on digital innovation.

Walgreens Launches Clinical Trials to Redefine the Patient Experience
Walgreens announced the launch of its clinical trial business to redefine the patient experience and increase access and retention in drug development research. Walgreens clinical trial model combines patient insights, partner-enabled health and technology capabilities and in-person and virtual care options to reach broader and more diverse communities.

The introduction of Walgreens clinical trial offerings coincides with recent steps taken by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to increase racial and ethnic diversity in clinical trials. More than half of Walgreens stores are located in socially vulnerable areas. When combined with its customer relationships and digital offerings, Walgreens strives to give access to diverse patient populations. One of the partners for the Walgreens expanded healthcare offering will be Pluto Health, a service that unifies siloed health information.

Southeastern Grocers Matches Military Donations
Southeastern Grocers is partnering with the SEG Gives Foundation to double down with a Military Monday matching commitment. The grocer will match weekend in-store donations up to $100,000 each Monday.

The enlistment of matching on Military Mondays and the funds raised throughout the program will help Folds of Honor in its mission to provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

Air Canada and Aeromar Announce New Partnership
Aeroplan is now adding Aeromar as its newest airline partner. This news comes on the heels of the partnership announcement between Air Canada and Aeromar earlier this year.

Aeroplan Members will be able to earn and redeem Aeroplan points on all Aeromar flights. Aeroplan members also earn points based on scheduled flights ticketed by Air Canada and operated by Aeromar, and can book flights on the Air Canada website, through the app or via Aeroplan’s Contact Centre.
