Hyatt and Way Partner to Enhance Personalization & Elevate Experiential Travel

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Way, the experiential platform for enterprise brands, to transform how guests discover and engage with experiences across its global hotel and resort portfolio. The collaboration integrates Way’s technology into Hyatt’s digital ecosystem, including Hyatt.com, the World of Hyatt mobile app, and individual hotel websites, uniting experiential programming, ancillary offerings, and the World of Hyatt FIND Experiences into a single, seamless platform. Guests and World of Hyatt members will now have more opportunities to explore and book curated experiences, both on-property and through local partnerships, with the added benefit of earning and redeeming loyalty points.

Hyatt SVP & Global Head of Digital Arlie Sisson said, “In our search for an on-brand platform to power experiences and tap into ancillary revenue opportunities, Way’s collaboration has been a true unlock for us. After a thorough evaluation of potential solutions, Hyatt chose Way to power the next chapter of our digital strategy – by streamlining operations, elevating brand differentiation, enhancing personalization, and most importantly, delivering care at every touchpoint in the guest journey.”

The partnership is central to Hyatt’s digital strategy to enhance guest personalization, drive ancillary revenue, and streamline operations across its properties. Way’s open APIs and robust infrastructure allow Hyatt’s digital teams to tailor experiences that reflect the brand’s commitment to care and differentiation. The integration also enables a more cohesive guest journey, from pre-arrival planning to in-stay engagement, supporting bespoke experiences like wellness retreats, exclusive culinary events, in-room add-ons, and cultural immersions. Members of the World of Hyatt program can also bid on limited-time auctions and unique experiences through FIND, further increasing engagement with the loyalty program. Way’s platform supports real-time translation, more than 100 currencies, cross-border payouts, and extensive payment options.

Marriott Bonvoy and Shinsegae Duty Free Launch Loyalty Program Partnership With Instant Status Matching

Marriott Bonvoy has officially partnered with Korea’s Shinsegae Duty Free to integrate loyalty programs, combining the worlds of premium retail and global hospitality. Launched on August 26, 2025, the strategic collaboration enables members of both programs to enjoy enhanced rewards and exclusive benefits that blend travel and shopping. As Marriott Bonvoy’s first-ever duty-free partnership, members of the hotel travel platform will now earn two points for every KRW 1,000 spent at Shinsegae Duty Free’s physical and online stores, with a cap of 1,000 points per month. A key feature of the collaboration is instant status matching across both programs. Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members will be upgraded to Shinsegae’s Black status, while higher-tier members (Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite) will receive VIP status. Conversely, Shinsegae Black and VIP members will be granted Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status, unlocking new benefits and exclusive access across both platforms.

Marriott International Area VP for South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines, Duke Nam, said, “We are extremely excited to collaborate with Shinsegae Duty Free in South Korea for Marriott Bonvoy’s very first global strategic duty-free partnership. Today’s launch reflects our commitment to creating meaningful touchpoints for our members— beyond hotel stays. Together with Shinsegae Duty Free, we are connecting lifestyle and travel in a way that is uniquely rewarding, immersive, and distinctly Marriott Bonvoy.”

To promote the partnership, a travel-themed pop-up store will run at Shinsegae Duty Free’s Myeongdong location through September 4, 2025. Visitors can learn more about Marriott Bonvoy, receive limited-edition gifts, and access extra perks by linking their accounts. This initiative further expands Marriott Bonvoy’s lifestyle reach in Korea, following a similar point-earning partnership with Hana Bank.
