Stellantis Partners with AISES for Native American Automotive Scholarships

Multinational auto manufacturer Stellantis announced its sponsorship of automotive scholarships through partnerships with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), the Mopar Career Automotive Program (CAP), and Jeep®. Three Native American students in the U.S. and Canada who have tribal membership will receive up to $20,000 each to cover necessary tools and two years of tuition.

“Engaging and supporting diverse talent in the pursuit of challenging and rewarding careers in the automotive industry is critical to our long-term strategy and evolution to a mobility tech company,” said Lottie Holland, Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion, Engagement and EEO Compliance. “Our Indigenous employees and the Indigenous Cultural Opportunity Network business resource group are strong role models promoting the vast opportunities available to the talented Indigenous students who will benefit from these scholarships.”

AISES promotes careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among Indigenous people. The organization requires scholarship applicants to be members but doesn’t charge for membership. Mopar CAP has trained automotive service technicians since 1984. The program boasts 9,000-plus active students who have completed more than 100,000 courses. Jeep is an ongoing supporter of many of Stellantis’ business resource groups, including the Indigenous Cultural Opportunity Network.
