Costa Uses Pre-order Option to Promote Loyalty
 
Costa Coffee has added to its list of recent technology-related initiatives with the London launch of Costa Collect, a service enabling customers to pre-order their drinks through the brand’s loyalty program app.
 
Arslan Sharif, Global Digital & Loyalty Director for the company, says “Our insights tell us that customers are demanding more and expect innovations which help enhance their day-to-day busy lives by making it easy and convenient to buy their favorite drink.”
 
Loblaw Launches Prime-Style Program
 
Canada’s mega grocery store Loblaw has introduced a fee-based customer loyalty program that will revolve around special services geared to its active shoppers. “It’s not 16 million customers all at once,” says PC Financial President Barry Columb, who started PC Insiders and continues to oversee the program. “But if we go out in the next six months and we put 100,000 customers into the program, we would be very, very satisfied.”
