Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it will give away $100,000 in free burritos and $100,000 in Bitcoin to celebrate National Burrito Day on April 1. This occasion makes Chipotle the first U.S. restaurant brand to offer a cryptocurrency giveaway to consumers.

On National Burrito Day, Chipotle and Stefan Thomas, the Founder and CEO of Coil, will launch a new interactive game called "Burritos or Bitcoin." In a playful ode to Thomas's experience losing the login to his hard drive that stored $387 million in Bitcoin, Chipotle is encouraging fans to carry out a mock "chiptocurrency" rescue mission and crack the code on its digital wallet.
 
Whataburger Thanks Employees with More Than $90 Million in Bonuses
On the heels of what has been an incredibly hard year, Whataburger has awarded more than $90 million in bonuses to its employees in thanks for their extraordinary service during the pandemic and severe winter weather across its 10-state footprint. Whataburger employees also received Extra Mile bonuses, emergency pay, and a doubling of their 401(k) plan matching for 2020.

Whataburger employees -- known as Family Members -- continued to deliver big flavor and hometown service 24/7 despite challenging circumstances and helped set record company performance numbers from March 2020 to March 2021.
 
Michaels Announces Partnership with Instacart for Same-Day Delivery
Michaels, the leading arts and crafts retailer in North America, today announced the company has launched a pilot program with Instacart, the leading online grocery platform in North America, to deliver from nearly 100 Michaels stores across Chicago, Dallas and Washington D.C.

With the new partnership, customers can now shop from thousands of arts and crafts products including, canvases, yarn, paint and other art supplies for delivery from the store to their door in as fast as an hour. Following the initial pilot, Michaels delivery via Instacart is expected to expand to all Michaels stores in the U.S. over the coming months.
 
Ollie’s Donates Over $640,000 to Feeding America
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, one of America’s largest closeout retail chains, raised more than $640,000 through an in-store fundraising campaign during February and March. Funds raised will benefit more than 100 Feeding America member food banks in the communities that Ollie’s serves.

“We began this partnership with Feeding America last year to support an immediate need in our communities at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said John Swygert, President and CEO of Ollie’s, “After what has been a challenging year for so many families, we wanted to renew this partnership in 2021 to continue providing support to local food banks and people in need.”
 
Giant Food Announces all 152 Pharmacy Locations Now Offering COVID-19 Vaccine
Giant Food today announces that all 152 of its in-store pharmacies throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware are offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents. Since late 2020 Giant has been administering vaccinations and is continuing to work closely with local and federal authorities to receive additional doses on an ongoing basis.

Giant's pharmacies are currently utilizing the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, dependent on specific location. Giant's licensed in-store pharmacists began administering COVID-19 vaccinations in Washington, D.C. in December, in Maryland and Delaware in January, and in Virginia in February. Prior to this week, the vaccine was offered at more than half of Giant's pharmacies.
