Intel Introduces AI-Driven Innovations To Transform Olympic Games Experience

As the Official AI Platform Partner, Intel unveiled its AI Everywhere platform for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. Intel aims to transform the sporting experience by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The Santa Clara, California-based technology company is set to introduce innovative AI-driven experiences, leveraging its cutting-edge processors and software to facilitate unprecedented experiences and insights for fans, athletes, organizers, and viewers around the world. Through AI-powered fan activations, spectators can simulate the journey of becoming an Olympic athlete.
 
“The Olympic and Paralympic Games are the world’s biggest showcase for the best athletes to push the boundaries of possibility and do things we never thought possible,” said Sarah Vickers, leader of Intel’s Olympic and Paralympic Games Office. “This summer, Intel will accelerate its mission of bringing AI Everywhere using Intel solutions at Paris 2024, showcasing the powerful potential of technology and AI to create immersive and interactive experiences at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 for millions around the world.”
 
With Paris 2024 poised to be one of the largest events in France’s history, Intel’s AI platform technology will be embedded throughout the Games experience, focusing on immersive on-site experiences and preservation of the Olympic legacy through neural object cloning that will transform video of Olympic collections into 3D digital artifacts. Paris 2024 will also introduce end-to-end 8K live streaming powered by Intel® Xeon® processors, offering viewers a high-resolution streaming experience. AI automation will enable broadcasters to deliver tailored content in real time, enhancing the viewing experience for fans worldwide.

The Paris Olympic Games will run from July 26, 2024, to August 11, 2024, and the Paralympic Games from August 28, 2024, to September 8, 2024.
