Fozzy Customer ExperienceMany customer experiences are in need of a reboot. New technological forces and evolving customer behaviors are pushing many brands to imbue their “old” customer experiences with a high degree of relevance and innovation. This applies to brands and marketers across all industries, and it speaks to a simple message, which is this. Evolve or simply fade into insignificance.

The NCR Corporation believes that the traditional concept of the supermarket shopping experience is likely in need of a similar reboot, and it’s not a bad bet. As a global leader in consumer transaction technologies that specializes in turning common interactions into exceptional customer experiences, NCR will begin working with Fozzy Group Ukraine, the country’s largest supermarket company and food retail group, to give its stores an ambitious modernized makeover.Ukraine Supermarket Customer Experience

This year will see the launch of a new store concept across Fozzy’s 600 Ukrainian supermarkets. The idea is to incorporate NCR’s RealPOS 40, an innovative Point-of-Sale (POS) system that features a modern design to accompany the look and feel of a contemporary store, while also meeting new customer demands in the process.

“Today’s customers are technically savvy and expect the checkout to be a seamless experience,” said Andriy Pinkevych, Area Industry Leader for Retail Solutions at NCR Russia. “A poor checkout experience can negatively impact consumer trust and, ultimately, loyalty. We are proud that our tried and tested RealPOS 40 solution was able to reassure Fozzy Group of its value in direct comparison with competitive products and are convinced it will ensure the very highest levels of customer experience.”

This new POS integration follows the Fozzy Group’s efforts to redesign its stores and increase customer satisfaction that began back in 2014. Since starting this journey to improve the customer experience, Fozzy has made significant strides. But it now requires an innovative and elegant POS solution to compliment its new store concept.

“Looking forward, our business requires innovative solutions to provide the best services for our customers,” said Ivan Slavioglo, CIO of Fozzy Group. “We are opening high level, service-oriented stores with vast food court zones and huge checkout areas. For each service we need the best IT solutions available. It’s no wonder that we started strategic partnership with NCR, which has provided IT solutions for retail more than 130 years.”
