Hosted Solution to Benefit Qantas Customers with Personalised Access to Loyalty Program and Promotions

News Facts

  • Qantas, Australia’s largest carrier and world-class airline group, has selected Oracle On Demand to run and maintain its Qantas Frequent Flyer program on Oracle’s Siebel Loyalty Management platform.
  • Qantas Frequent Flyer has more than seven million members who can earn points with over 400 program partners in Australia and worldwide. Members can use points for flights with Qantas, Jetstar and 25 partner airlines, or over 1400 products, services and vouchers in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Store.
  • The Qantas Frequent Flyer program has been running on a 22-year-old Fortran-based system called “Profile”. The growth in the business has stretched the capabilities of the Profile system. As a result, Qantas Frequent Flyer embarked on an upgrade of its loyalty management system.
  • Oracle Siebel Loyalty is a highly scalable solution that will allow Qantas to increase member retention and value by supporting the entire loyalty marketing lifecycle.
  • The new Siebel Loyalty system will also help Qantas integrate members with its partner network; enabling faster time-to-market of new partner products and joint promotions. Qantas will also benefit from running promotions that target specific member groups.
  • Oracle On Demand provides a complete managed service offering supporting the Siebel Loyalty footprint. Oracle On Demand provides expertise, flexibility and scalability which should enable Qantas to meet its requirements now and into the future. The new system will be implemented, run and supported from Oracle On Demand’s state-of-the-art data centre in Austin, Texas.
  • Oracle Consulting Services will provide the Architecture and Assurance component of the solution implementation.
