Sodexo Launches One & All Dining Experience to Foster Campus Community Connections
A recent Sodexo Student Lifestyle Study highlights that 87% of students look at on-campus dining as the primary way to connect and build community. In response, Sodexo Campus is introducing One & All, a new dining initiative designed to create engaging and inclusive experiences for students. The goal of the program is to transform every meal into a warm, community-focused moment where students feel they truly belong. The program will be rolled out this month across numerous university dining halls, with over 50 locations expected to be upgraded by Fall 2025 and 150 by Fall 2026.
Sodexo Campus Chief Marketing Officer Drew Nannis said, “Dining is not just about nourishment—it’s where conversations spark, communities form and lifelong memories are created. Our teams on campus are in a unique position to drive that engagement. With One & All, we combine a wide variety of food choices with customization in the dining environment to deliver a welcome and comfortable community experience. We bring together chefs who create fresh, flavorful meals every day, and spaces where there is something for all to create a genuine sense of belonging.”
The One & All dining experience emphasizes a mix of deliciousness, variety, and community engagement. It offers chef-prepared meals, catering to diverse dietary needs while providing transparency in food choices. Students can enjoy a range of menu options, from comforting classics to global flavors, with customization options to enhance their food journey. The program also features modern dining spaces with flexible seating arrangements, vibrant music, and adaptable layouts that support both solo time and social gatherings. Furthermore, interactive experiences like chef demonstrations and themed events will foster deeper community connections. The initiative complements other community-centered programs like Food Hive, a concept supporting local and minority-owned businesses, and partnerships with the James Beard Foundation to bring award-winning chefs to campus.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Invests in Technology and Marketing for Growth
In its Q4 results, Dick’s Sporting Goods reported a 0.5% growth in sales for the quarter and 3.5% for the year, even with one less week in 2024. When adjusted for this missing week, the retailer saw a 5% increase in both periods. Encouraged by these strong results, CEO Lauren Hobart announced plans for significant investments in both digital platforms and physical stores. This includes technology upgrades and marketing efforts designed to boost Dick’s online presence and expand its store concepts, including the opening of seven House of Sport and 15 Field House locations last year.
Looking ahead to 2025, Dick’s will continue focusing on expanding its e-commerce business, investing in convenience, and enhancing its mobile app. The retailer plans to invest heavily in its footwear category, which now represents 28% of its business. Partnerships with key brands will support further growth in this area. With the shifting dynamics in the global retail industry, Dick’s is prepared to address potential impacts from tariffs, collaborating with brand partners to manage pricing while navigating a challenging economic environment.
For 2025, Dick’s expects a growth in comparable sales of 1% to 3%, projecting overall sales between $13.6 billion and $13.9 billion. Analysts note that the company’s continued investment in its physical store concepts, like House of Sport and Field House, positions it for future success. While some of its competitors choose not to modernize their physical locations, Dick’s strategy to refresh its store fleet is seen as a way to attract customers away from traditional department stores and mass merchants like Target. However, Dick’s has also made some adjustments to its portfolio, scaling back its Public Lands stores and shutting down standalone Moosejaw locations in favor of consolidating them under the Public Lands banner.
