Albertsons, ExxonMobil Expand Fuel Rewards to 15 states
The grocery retailer and fuel retailer have expanded their Gas Rewards program. “The companies said yesterday that shoppers participating in the Gas Rewards program at Safeway, Acme, Shaw’s, and Star Market supermarkets can now earn points from eligible grocery, pharmacy, and gift card purchases and redeem rewards at about 1,500 Exxon and Mobil stations in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.”

American Airlines and Vivid Seats Partner for Event Ticket Buying
The airline has launched “a brand new partnership with online ticket-selling behemoth Vivid Seats, [which offers] members as much as 6x miles per dollar when buying tickets to concerts, sporting events, and more. This comes on the heels of Delta Air Lines launching a similar partnership with Ticketmaster earlier this summer.”
 
Kroger, Walgreens Expand Pilot to Knoxville
The retailers have announced “a new test area for the retailers, featuring the expansion of Kroger Express and Kroger Pickup at selected Walgreens stores as well as the launch of Walgreens brand health and beauty products in 17 Kroger stores in Knoxville, Tenn.”

Burger King Ditches Plastic Toys in UK Kids’ Meals
The QSR has announced a drastic cutback on its plastic use. “The company was spurred to action after two young sisters in the country launched a petition against plastic toys that was signed by more than half a million people. Some 320 tonnes of single-use plastic will be saved each year, according to Burger King. The company will also install containers in UK stores so that old plastic toys can be recycled and used to build play areas.”
