Caesars Entertainment ‘incredibly excited’ to begin construction on Danville casino
Danville voters made it official on Election Day: A casino will be built in the city. Officials with Caesars Entertainment released a statement Tuesday night shortly after the referendum passed, stating they’re ‘incredibly excited’ to begin construction.

The casino is projected to bring about 1,300 jobs to the area, as well as money to support economic development in Danville.
 
Sapporo Launches National Manga-Inspired Campaign
Sapporo is launching a new national marketing campaign which will celebrate the premium beer’s creator Seibei Nakagawa and the brewery’s origins through stylish manga imagery.

The Japanese manga artwork in the campaign, which launches in Australia next month, is a nod to Japan’s culture and Sapporo’s standing as the country’s oldest beer brand. Sapporo is brewed under license and distributed in Australia by Coopers Brewery.

“The Sapporo origin is legendary in Japan; an inspiring story that changed Japanese beer for years to come,” says Chris Levey, Brand Manager. “Sapporo is admired across the globe for its deeply rooted heritage and its impact on Japanese beer culture.”
 
‘A Perfect Quarter’ For Lenovo Says CEO: Profits Soar 53%, Growth Surges During Pandemic
To say Lenovo’s chair and chief executive officer is happy about how business is going for the global tech firm is, well, an understatement.

“Last quarter was what I would call a perfect quarter for Lenovo,” Yang Yuanqing declared in an interview with Reuters news service shortly after Lenovo announced its latest earnings.

Riding the strength of demand for technology to enable people and students to work from home and study remotely in times of COVID-19, Lenovo said profits surged 53% year-over-year to some $310 million. That’s well above analysts’ expectations of $224 million, Reuters noted.

Earnings hit 2.48 cents, up from 1.62 cents year-over-year. Overall income climbed to $470 million while revenues surged 7% year-over-year to $14.5 billion.
 
Mazda Teams With Medallia For Customer Engagement, Experience Efforts
Mazda Canada is turning to experience management company Medallia, utilizing several of its tools across its dealerships to help “understand customer sentiment,” the latter said in a news release late last month.

“2020 represents our 100th year in business. This milestone didn’t just happen because of great automotive innovation, it happened because of our fans and the fact that we put the customer at the heart of everything we do,” says Mike Collinson, who is senior director of brand customer experience and IT at Mazda, in a news release.

Mazda Canada is using the Medallia Experience Cloud, Text Analytics and Social platforms to better understand the consumer experience in sales and service and to engage with these shoppers.
