Chick-fil-A Mobile App Customers Get Free Classic Nuggets in January

As a way to thank its customers, Chick-fil-A is giving away an eight-count order of classic Chick-fil-A nuggets to any person who creates or signs into their Chick-fil-A One account via the Chick-fil-A mobile app. The offer is good until Jan. 31 at participating locations either in-restaurant, in the drive-thru or by placing a mobile order via the app. “Our customers are incredibly important to us, and this is one small way to thank them for their loyalty and introduce the perks of our app to new guests,” Kevin Purcer, director of customer digital experience at Chick-fil-A, said in a company release. “We are excited to surprise our guests with a free eight-count order of nuggets this month through our mobile app.”

Amazon lets third-party sellers use FedEx ground again

Amazon now will allow its third-party sellers to start using FedEx ground service again after banning it for about a month during the holiday shopping season. Amazon recently sent a letter to sellers telling them they can start using the carrier. FedEx said reinstating its ground service for Amazon sellers is “good news for our mutual customers.” The relationship between Amazon and FedEx has been strained Amazon builds its own delivery fleet. Last month, Amazon.com Inc. said it delivered most of its own packages in the United States itself.

Sacramento Kings Launch League’s First Live Blockchain-Powered Auction Platform for Authentic Memorabilia

The Sacramento Kings of the NBA recently announced a new auction platform that offers live bidding on in-game sports gear – meaning fans will be able to participate in a live auction of game-worn gear during Kings home game. The Kings collaborated with ConsenSys​, a blockchain software development firm, and the platform uses Treum, a ConsenSys-backed supply chain product. “Every auctioned item will be authenticated, and a transparent audit trail of product history will be established, so fans will be assured that each piece of gear is authentic,” the team said in a blog post on its website.

Santander US Awards More than $14.8 Million in Charitable Grants in 2019

Santander US recently announced a commitment of more than $14.8 million in charitable giving across the United States in 2019. The donations came from Santander Bank, N.A., Santander’s Universities program, the Santander Consumer USA Inc. Foundation, and Banco Santander Puerto Rico. “Santander continues to invest in the communities we serve through our charitable giving,” Tim Wennes, Santander US Chief Executive Officer, said in a release. “Our charitable giving approach is focused on helping people and businesses prosper, and we recognize the value that financial support provides to the non-profit organizations working to make a difference in the communities we serve.”
