Frontier Airlines Enhances Cardmember Perks with Free Checked Bags and 90-Day Elite Membership Loyal

Frontier Airlines is partnering with Barclays US Consumer Bank to introduce a valuable new perk for holders of the FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard®. Primary cardmembers will now be entitled to two free checked bags on Frontier-operated flights, a significant enhancement to elevate the travel experience for budget-conscious flyers.

With the introduction of free checked bags, we’re elevating the travel experience for FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard cardmembers,” said Bobby Schroeter, Chief Commercial Officer at Frontier Airlines. “This new benefit, combined with existing perks like Instant Elite Gold Status and miles that never expire, makes our card a must-have for any traveler looking to maximize value and convenience on every flight.”

The FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard® already offers a generous range of rewards, including miles that never expire as long as the membership is active, no blackout dates on award travel, and an annual $100 flight voucher after meeting a spending threshold of $2,500 or more. Cardholders also enjoy priority boarding and other exclusive perks. The card was recently named the “Best for Budget Travel” airline card in 2024 by Money.com, an award it has garnered four straight years in a row.

New World Mastercard members can also take advantage of a 90-day Elite Gold Status with FRONTIER Miles, Frontier’s Loyalty Program. Elite Gold Status can be extended to 12 months when a card member spends $3,000 during their first 90 days of membership. The free checked bag benefit applies to tickets purchased directly from Frontier’s website or mobile app, and there is no limit to its usage. The benefit is valid on golf and ski equipment, but primary cardholders must use the Mastercard when booking to receive the free checked bag benefit.
