Casey’s General Stores Expands Delivery to Nearly 600 Stores to Better Assist Customers

Casey’s General Stores has announced an expanded partnership with DoorDash, providing delivery services for 579 locations, every day of the week. The service already offers the company’s pizzas, a few appetizers and 20 ounce sodas. However, by the end of April many grocery and household items will be added to the delivery service, offering customers a way to access items they need without having to leave their homes. Delivery hours through the DoorDash partnership will correspond to each store’s kitchen hours.

“Now, more than ever, it’s important to provide our guests with greater access to options for safe and convenient delivery for a family dinner or the essentials they need,” said Chris Jones, CMO of Casey’s General Stores, in a press release. “Casey’s already delivers from about 800 stores, but this adds delivery service to nearly 350 stores where it wasn’t previously available.”

Like mentioned above, more items such as candy, salty snacks and ice cream will be made available through delivery service starting mid-April. Customers can see if their Casey’s location offers the delivery by visiting DoorDash’s website or using their app.

“We are committed to providing our guests choices – whether they want to order online for delivery, carryout or shop in-store, we will have a seamless option,” said Jones in the same press release. “And, we will continue to foster innovative partnerships, like this one, and make adjustments to our operations, to demonstrate this commitment to providing our guests options.”

Casey’s has taken precautions during this pandemic to ensure food safety for customers and a safe environment for employees.

According to Casey’s website, “For the past month, our team members have been operating with heightened attention to actions like store cleaning and more frequent handwashing. This includes being diligent with fundamental actions like increasing the frequency of cleaning food prep equipment, counters, restrooms and fuel pumps as well as other high-touch surfaces throughout our stores. We will be closing all seating areas in stores. We will also be encouraging all delivery and carryout pizza guests to complete payment online to reduce contact at checkout. As always, our team members are staying home if they are sick.”
