Customers of Qubit, the customer experience management platform, make up 10% of the UK e-retailers listed in Internet Retailer’s 2013 Europe 500 list. The list features 159 of the largest online retailers in the UK, with Qubit’s customers taking 16 places.

Overall, the study reveals that the 500 leading online retailers in Europe grew their web sales last year by 17% to $123 billion, claiming 40% of the European e-retail market. Their success can be attributed to a digital strategy which focuses on delivering a more personalised online experience for the customer.

Qubit’s clients, including major retailers Arcadia, LK Bennett and John Lewis, have been able to collectively increase conversion rates by using Qubit’s discover and deliver platform to create a personalised experience. The platform enables ecommerce sites to collect vast quantities of data about a user’s interactions with their website. This data is then analysed to help the marketing teams identify patterns of behaviour so that the team can drive website changes in real-time in order to create a more personalised, targeted experience for the user.

For example, if a customer seems to be browsing aimlessly on Farfetch.com their behaviour tells us that they may not understand how to order from multiple boutiques. To engage this customer before they leave the website, a personalised message layer is served directing them to the website’s FAQ page. Here, the customer can learn about the brand, their customer promise and in turn feel more confident about making a purchase. With this solution, these types of customer convert 17% more often.

By delivering relevant content to their visitors, based on detailed, accurate insights, a brand can expect to boost conversion rates by an average of 20%. Qubit’s suite of products bring together visitor analytics, tag management, AB testing and personalisation within a single integrated platform. This allows marketers to optimise and test websites in real time, without the need for specialist IT resource, helping to drive rapid and sustained ROI.

Graham Cooke, CEO for Qubit, said: “As a company we’re pleased that our UK clients have been recognised as being some of Europe’s leading online retailers. It’s also clear that in order to be successful online, knowing how your visitors are interacting with your website so that you can make intelligent, informed decisions about the content you provide to them is crucial for increasing conversions and in turn revenue.”
