Anheuser-Busch has announced that it continues to extend its century-long support to military personnel and first responders through an ongoing partnership with Folds of Honor. In celebration of National First Responders Day, Bud Light and its 27 NFL partner teams will come together during Week 8 of the NFL season to honor first responders and their families through various initiatives, including scholarship presentations and local team activations.
Bud Light Senior Vice President of Marketing, Todd Allen, said, “Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light are truly proud to continue this impactful relationship with Folds of Honor. Together with the NFL and its network of teams and communities nationwide, we stand firm in our commitment to supporting our local communities and honoring those who serve.”
Founder and CEO of Folds of Honor, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, also commented by stating, “Our longtime friends at Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light have once again stepped forward to help Folds of Honor provide life-changing educational scholarships to American heroes. We are grateful too to the NFL for recognizing the importance of an education and doing something about it for the families of those who protect and serve our communities. These patriotic organizations are making a real and vital difference.”
In honor of National First Responders Day on October 28, Bud Light and its partner teams recognized first responders through scholarship presentations, national media support, digital signage, and local events. Bud Light’s ongoing support for Folds of Honor includes a dedicated scholarship for the families of disabled or fallen first responders. In an effort to raise awareness for the cause, Bud Light is rereleasing a one-minute film entitled “First Responders Fund,” telling the real story of a family benefitting from a Folds of Honor scholarship.
An NFL spokesperson spoke about the initiative, stating, “We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with Bud Light and Folds of Honor for a second season. The NFL extends sincere appreciation to all first responders for their selfless service and sacrifice and are honored to help raise awareness on valuable resources available for first responders and their families.”
Over the past 14 years, Anheuser-Busch and its brands have contributed $28M to Folds of Honor, with an additional $3M this year. These contributions have supported approximately 62,000 scholarships for the children and spouses of military members who have been disabled or fallen while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The program expanded in 2022 to include first responders’ families.
