Loyalty360 Reads: PNC Bank Spotlights Financial Wellness in Workplace Report, Little Caesars’ Promos Back for NFL Season, and Celsius Markets to Gen Z

PNC Bank Survey Reveals Varying Financial Wellness Needs

PNC Bank’s second annual Financial Wellness in the Workplace Report reveals that the financial stress and goals of U.S. workers vary significantly across generations. The report highlights that Gen Z is the most financially stressed, with 76% expressing concerns, while 78% of employers acknowledge their employees’ financial stress. Each generation has distinct financial priorities, with Gen Z focusing on improving credit and Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers prioritizing retirement savings.

Kaley Keeley Buchanan, PNC’s SVP, emphasized, “Offering a mix of benefits that can appeal to a wide range of employee needs is essential for hiring and retaining great people across generations.”

The survey also found that Gen Z and Millennials are highly influenced by wellness benefits, with Gen Z workers particularly concerned about student debt and many employees living paycheck to paycheck.

The findings underscore the importance for businesses to offer tailored financial wellness programs to meet the diverse needs of their workforce and drive retention and productivity.

Celsius Adds “Essential Six” to NIL Roster

Celsius broadened its name, image, and likeness (NIL) roster by adding six prominent college football players, collectively dubbed the “Essential Six.” The athletes—Dillon Gabriel, Donovan Edwards, Jalen Milroe, Emeka Egbuka, DJ Uiagalelei, and Travis Hunter—will star in a new campaign that includes TV commercials, social media content, and various other channels. This expansion aligns with Celsius’ ongoing strategy to enhance its presence in sports marketing and connect with college culture through Celsius University, its national paid student marketing program.

Kyle Watson, Celsius CMO, highlighted the strategic importance of this move, stating, “The expansion of our NIL roster demonstrates our continued commitment to further connect our brand with our collegiate communities. Each athlete serves as inspiration and motivation to our consumers and their commitment to greatness truly embodies Celsius’ Live Fit lifestyle.”

The campaign will initially feature an introductory 30-second spot with dramatic music and empty stadiums, setting the stage for a series of athlete-focused ads throughout the college football season.

This strategic initiative complements Celsius’ broader marketing efforts, including previous sports sponsorships like its partnership with Scuderia Ferrari and Major League Soccer. PepsiCo’s investment in Celsius has contributed to the brand’s growth, helping it capture approximately 11% of the $19 billion energy drink market, driven by a consumer shift toward healthier and functional beverage options.
