DoorDash and Live Nation Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) have announced a three-year strategic partnership that will bring DoorDash closer to live music fans across concerts, festivals, and venues. As an official partner across Live Nation’s portfolio, DoorDash plans to offer customers exclusive music perks and promotions throughout the live event experience, while also launching the DoorDash Food Village at major festivals as an on-site hospitality activation. H&M, Chobani, UrbanStems and Teleties Rethink What Makes a Brand Partnership Work

Brands are getting more strategic about collaborations, looking beyond immediate sales to consider audience fit, cultural relevance, and the doors a partnership can open over time, as Modern Retail reports. At eTail Boston, executives from H&M, Chobani, UrbanStems, and Teleties shared how those factors are shaping their approach. UrbanStems has found that a buzzy partner doesn’t necessarily translate into results when the two brands serve different demographics, while H&M uses relationships with designers and talent to stay connected to cultural moments and generate organic exposure. Chobani is tapping sports through its U.S. Soccer sponsorship to reach consumers around shared interests in nutrition and athletics, and Teleties has found that partnerships such as its relationship with the Orlando Magic can create valuable connections with other organizations even when the products themselves aren’t its biggest sellers. Together, their experiences suggest brands are increasingly judging collaborations not simply by the initial revenue they produce, but by how well partners align with their audiences and the longer-term opportunities they create, according to Modern Retail.
