California-based food and delivery service DoorDash recently partnered with Michaels, an arts and crafts chain based out of Irving, Texas. This partnership marks DoorDash’s first dabble into the arts and crafts industry, enabling a range of consumers to explore their creative passions with the convenience of same-day delivery. Michael’s products, ranging from felt patches to tie-dye and cake decorating kits, join the millions of retail products available for same-day purchase and delivery on DoorDash.

“Convenience, choice, and flexibility are central to a best-in-class omnichannel experience, and it’s more important than ever to deliver on that promise to our customers,” says Heather Bennet, Michael’s Executive Vice President of Marketing and ECommerce.

The partnership with DoorDash capitalizes on the accessibility and convenience offered by modern delivery services, creating a unique value proposition within the arts and crafts industry. The partnership should expand both company’s market outreach with a new spin on accessibility. Customers enrolled in DashPass will find the crafts retailer included in the list of restaurants and other stores, providing additional savings.
