Hardee’s Teams Up with Caring for Others for Hurricane Relief
Hardee’s® recently teamed up with the Atlanta-based nonprofit Caring For Others to aid communities in the Southeast and Appalachia recovering from recent hurricanes. The spotlight was cast on Caring For Others after the non-profit activated its “Convoy of Care” for Hurricane Helene hit communities. The highlight of the partnership was a tailgate-style fundraiser at the Hardee’s in Danielsville, Georgia, on November 16, right before a top-10 college football matchup. Multi-platinum artist and University of Georgia fan Thomas Rhett attended the event to support the cause.
Eslene Richmond-Shockley, Founder and CEO of Caring For Others, said, “The mission of Caring For Others is to eradicate poverty, and natural disasters pose a huge threat to those who are already suffering. Whether at home in Georgia or around the world, we aim to activate immediately when disaster strikes, delivering supplies and resources where they're most needed and partners like Hardee’s help us make a positive impact.”
Hurricane Helene’s impact was personal for Hardee’s, affecting more than 100 of the brand’s restaurants and 2,000 employees. During the Danielsville fundraiser, guests enjoyed swag, games, and made-from-scratch favorites, while first responders enjoyed free biscuits. Caring For Others was also on hand to accept monetary donations and other much-needed items.
It’s not too late to support the mission to help hurricane-hit communities. You can do so here: https://caring4others.org/hardees-hurricane-relief/
