Food Lion’s Loyalty Program Receives National Recognition

Brand Loyalty Depends on Online Offerings
A new survey from Criteo indicates that “value for money (47 percent) and poor customer service (37 percent) [are] the most common reasons customers abandon a brand, while e-commerce annoyances such as cumbersome return/refund policies (21 percent), long delivery times (17 percent), and bad websites (12 percent) are making a sizable dent in some shopper’s loyalties.”
Study of 5 Million Fast-Food Visits Reveals Customer Segments, Channel Effectiveness
Viant has conducted a survey that identifies fast-food customers and offers insight into how to retain them. “Using machine learning, Viant identified five key customer segments, which were sometimes overlapping but had distinct preferences and behaviors: Breakfast Buyers, Lunchtime Loyalists, Primetime Patrons, Weekenders, Devoted Diners.”
Thai Smile Joins The Star Alliance
Thai Smile has become the latest to join the group of 28 Asian air carriers. Interestingly, they’re taking a new engagement strategy. “Thai Smile and Star’s news comes as alliances around the globe explore new options for participation that aren’t as intensive as full-blown membership. Late last year Fiji Airways announced that it would join Oneworld as a Connect partner while Alaska Airlines has shared the same intentions. Star is now apparently stepping up its own game.”
Chase Launches Co-Branded Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Card
The hotel chain’s loyalty program and the bank have teamed up to release a credit card that offers special perks for rewards members. “The Marriott Bonvoy Bold card offers triple rewards on purchases at the company’s 7,000 hotel properties, double rewards on other travel purchases and standard rewards on other purchases.”
