Great Clips Honors Veterans with Free Haircuts on Veterans Day
As a thank you to military service members on Veterans Day, Great Clips will once again show its appreciation by offering free haircuts at any of its U.S. salons on Monday, November 11. The gesture is valid for active military service members and veterans and is part of Great Clips’ annual “Thank a Veteran” event, allowing service members to receive a free haircut or a voucher redeemable during a future visit. Non-military customers who visit a Great Clips salon on Veterans Day can pick up a complimentary haircut card to pass along to a veteran or active service member, offering them a way to thank those who serve.
Great Clips, Inc. CEO Steve Hockett said, “We’re proud to extend our free haircut offer to veterans and active service members for the twelfth consecutive year. It’s our way of expressing gratitude to those who protect our country while enabling customers to also give back to the service members in their lives and community.”
The Veterans Day promotion has provided over 2.3 million haircuts at no charge to military members, a value of $35 million, since its inception. Free haircut cards distributed to veterans and active military members can be redeemed through November 29, 2024. Great Clips also supports service members beyond Veterans Day through its involvement with the Operation: Healing Heroes Foundation. This organization, initially launched as a television series, shares veterans’ stories and provides outdoor experiences for veterans as a form of healing, especially for those facing post-traumatic stress. Since expanding in 2019, Operation: Healing Heroes has also offered financial assistance to veterans.
