Casey’s and PepsiCo Partner to Support Veterans and Military Families

As Veterans Day approaches, Casey’s convenience stores are honoring those who have served the country by launching a fundraising campaign with PepsiCo to benefit two nonprofit organizations: Hope For the Warriors and the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Starting November 6, Casey’s customers can round up their in-store purchases or add a donation to online orders to support these nonprofits. The campaign will run through December 3, with all contributions directly aiding military veterans and their families. In recognition of their sacrifices, Casey’s will also offer free coffee or fountain drinks to veterans on November 11. Casey’s is extending the free beverage year-round to active-duty military and uniformed first responders.

Casey’s CEO, President, and a United States Army Veteran, Darren Rebelez, said, “Through our veterans campaign – made possible by the tremendous generosity of our guests, team members, and partners – we’re not just providing financial support but creating opportunities and positively impacting veterans, service members and their families. Beginning in 2012, we donated more than $10 million to these incredible nonprofit organizations. We are grateful to PepsiCo for their partnership on this campaign and look forward to offering continued support to the brave men and women who have given so much to our country.”

Hope For the Warriors works to restore a sense of stability and community for veterans, service members, and their families, while Children of Fallen Patriots provides scholarships and educational guidance to children who have lost a parent in service. PepsiCo is further supporting the campaign with a $25,000 donation and is joining Casey’s in encouraging and thanking customers who choose to contribute, highlighting a shared commitment to improving lives for military families.

Delta Introduces Accessible Flight Map for Low-Vision Travelers

Delta Airlines has launched an accessible flight map to the majority of the airline’s seatback screens. The redesigned map is designed to enhance the in-flight experience for travelers with low-vision disabilities. The renowned moving map feature allows passengers with visual impairments to track their journey independently. The high-contrast display and easy-to-navigate features were carefully tailored to ensure maximum visibility and usability, setting a new standard for accessibility in in-flight entertainment.

Delta Managing Director of Customer Experience - In-Flight Entertainment, Delta Studio, and Wi-Fi, Ekrem Dimbiloglu, said, “No one better connects the world than Delta. To truly fulfill that promise, we must ensure every customer can connect with their journey in a way that enhances their experience and makes them feel valued and cared for. We are proud to be the first airline to launch this technology, setting the standard for inclusive travel experiences across the industry.”

Delta worked closely with its own Advisory Board on Disability and map provider FlightPath3D, using hands-on testing and feedback to refine the map’s functionality and design. The new flight map includes user-friendly features such as high-contrast visuals, a color-blind palette, and large text, all to reduce eye strain and improve readability. Additional elements, like zoom and pan controls, allow travelers to personalize their map view to suit their needs. In future updates, Delta plans to add voice narration, which will update arrival times and points of interest.
