Kum & Go has announced it is helping customers have a better fuel station experience by launching its new mobile fuel pay program. This is available through the brand’s app for use at all their 400 locations. This mobile payment platform uses the already existing Kum &Go mobile app. It verifies the customer’s credit card and handles that payment. The only aspect of the process the customer needs to do is enter their pump number, start the pump, and then go.
“Let’s be honest, no one gets joy from starting a pump. On a cold winter’s day, the last thing you want to be doing is standing outside paying for gas,” said Kum & Go President Tanner Krause in a press release on the brand’s website. “Today, in our current moment, limiting common contact points is essential. So, we created an app feature that significantly reduces the time to activate a pump and allows you to do most of it from the comfort of your vehicle. It’s the latest way Kum & Go is able to make your day better.”
To take advantage of this new payment method, the brand has laid out two simple steps:
- Open the Kum & Go app when at the pump and select the “fuel” option
- Choose the correct pump number, follow the prompts in the app, and begin fueling
“At Kum & Go, we push the state of the art for convenience at the pump,” said Kum & Go Vice President of Fuels, Ken Kleemeier, in the same news release. “The Kum &Go app helps customers Fuel Better by linking the gas pump with the mobile phone, allowing us to radically streamline the process of fueling up, while also seamlessly integrating with the &Rewards program. Kum & Go uses technology to elevate the entire experience. It’s putting the convenience back in convenience store.”
The brand has also been working to keep its workplaces safe for customers and employees. It has said that if any associate is sick, they are told to not report to work. They have also raised the pay for all store associates by $2 an hour and offered spot bonuses to all associates that lead COVID-19-related store sanitation safeguarding. All employees are also now able to get a free meal during their shift as well as everyday discounts.
