Michaels has introduced a revamped version of its Michaels Rewards program designed to provide more savings, new perks, and stronger recognition for shoppers.
The new program features three tiers: Red, Gold, and Platinum, with members earning higher rewards as their annual spending increases. All members begin at the Red tier and earn 3% back in rewards. Customers who spend $300 annually move to Gold and earn 6% back, while those who spend $1,000 annually reach Platinum and earn 9% back.
Members also receive enhanced perks beyond cashback rewards. The program includes tiered birthday discounts, offering 30% off for Red members, 40% off for Gold members, and 50% off for Platinum members. Gold and Platinum members gain access to “Everyday Perks,” which include special coupons and early access to new products and events. Platinum members receive additional recognition, including a complimentary Michaels tote bag and other elevated benefits.
The revamped program also integrates benefits for Michaels credit cardholders, who receive additional perks such as free shipping offers, 20% off their first purchase, special financing options, and a daily 30% discount on merchandise, along with an extra discount on custom framing. Existing members were automatically transitioned into the new program structure beginning March 1, with Michaels also planning to expand the rewards program into Canada for the first time.
