Loyal customers at C Spire, which earned the Platinum Award in the “Voice of the Customer” category at the inaugural Loyalty360 Awards in March 2014, have responded incredibly well to its latest customer experience and relationship initiative designed to make the company the easiest to do business within the industry.
C Spire, which offers wireless, Gigabit Internet access, digital TV, phone and voice, data, and cloud services to consumers and businesses, recently launched the next phase of its customer-relationship evolution initiative called, “Customer Inspired 2.0,” which will help spark further improvements in its southeastern U.S. operations.
The Mississippi-based diversified telecommunications and technology services firm wants to accelerate efforts to place its 1 million customers at the center of every decision it makes.
Consumers are responding at record rates to a new unlimited voice and data plan that’s a key component of C Spire’s latest customer experience initiative. Consider that, in the first 25 days of December, more than 70 percent of existing postpaid customers who changed plans and 46 percent of all activations opted for the new unlimited plan offered through the diversified telecommunications and technology services firm’s wireless unit. Overall, there have been twice as many total plan changes compared to the same time last year.
“We’re seeing a tremendous response from customers who enjoy the worry-free aspects of this plan,” said Suzy Hays, senior vice president of Consumer Markets for C Spire, noting that the unlimited offer and others are the latest examples of how the company is committed to a customer-first approach.
Hays noted that C Spire was the first in the industry to launch unlimited plans in 2007 “because we knew that our customers wanted the freedom to use their phone without thinking about it. As data usage has exploded over the years, we created overage protection and the Wi-Fi On app to help customers control their data and lower their bills, which fit the needs of many customers. But one size doesn’t fit all and a large group of customers still appreciates the flat rate nature of unlimited pricing and this plan is for them.”
C Spire rolled out the unlimited voice and data plan on Dec. 1 for $65 a month for any smartphone with a new line on Device Payment Plan (DPP) and a two-year agreement. After 25 gigabytes (GB) of data usage, C Spire may slow data speeds to protect the network and other users' experience.
“At C Spire, now is a great time to do something extra for our customers,” Hays added. “It’s a way to express our loyalty to customers who express their loyalty to C Spire by doing business with us.”
Unlimited is part of the next phase of Customer Inspired 2.0, C Spire’s comprehensive customer relationship initiative aimed at helping the company deliver on its promise to provide world-class products, services, and programs that are focused on simplicity and ease and designed around customer needs and desires to ensure maximum satisfaction.
