Southwest Airlines is offering a limited-time tier promotion to give Rapid Rewards® members a more expedited way to achieve A-List and A-List Preferred status. The promotion runs through December 31, 2025, and offers four ways for members to fast-track their way to these elite tiers: qualifying flight purchases with Rapid Rewards points, qualifying flight purchases, Rapid Rewards partner spend, and Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Cards from Chase purchases.
“We’re bringing back this popular promotion to give our Rapid Rewards Members an extra boost to reach our coveted A-List and A-List Preferred tier status faster, so they can take advantage of all the benefits that our Rapid Rewards program has to offer, such as earlier boarding, boosted points, free same-day standby, and same-day change,” said Jonathan Clarkson, Vice President & Chief Product Officer at Southwest Airlines. “A-List Preferred Members can enjoy all the same benefits plus free WiFi and premium drinks.”
Members of Southwest Rapid Rewards who register for the promotion and purchase qualifying flights for travel by November 30, 2024, will earn double-tier-qualifying points toward elite status through the end of 2025. Additionally, Southwest Business travelers booking through business channels will earn triple points for each flight through November 30, 2024.
Meanwhile, for travelers who use Rapid Rewards points, each one-way qualifying flight segment counts toward tier status when booked and traveled by November 30, 2024. In addition, from September 1 to November 30, 2024, Rapid Rewards credit card members registering for the promotion will earn 2,000 tier points for every $5,000 spent using a Rapid Rewards Premier, Priority, or Plus Consumer Credit Card or select Chase Southwest credit cards, accelerating their path to A-List status.
Lastly, members can earn up to 5,000 tier points through qualifying purchases with Rapid Rewards partners.
