Fifth Third’s Dobot Helps Consumers Save in New Year
Dobot, an app launched by Fifth Third a year ago, is providing a way for users to save for the future. Dobot is “encouraging people to start the year saving for a $500 ‘Future Me’ fund. To encourage people to put aside $20 a week toward the fund, the app will offer monthly challenges,” a news release states. “Few Americans have enough saved for unexpected expenses or emergencies,” Andy Zurcher, who oversees Fifth Third Bank’s Dobot app, said in the release. “We want to help them create a safety net and become more resilient. We want them to save for their future selves.”
Amazon, Netflix, MSNBC, Fox News, Google among top 20 loyalty brands: study
According to Brand Key's Customer Loyalty Engagement Index for 2020, Amazon, Netflix, MSNBC, Fox News, Google and WhatsApp are among the media companies in the top 20 loyalty brands.  The Hill states: “The study released each January is based on an ‘in-depth sample of more than 60,000 Americans across 85 categories and 833 brands,’ according to Brand Key.” Avis, Apple, Chase, Chick-fil-A, Dunkin', Hyundai, and the National Football League are other companies listed in the top 20 loyalty brands.

Facebook recently introduced its “Off-Facebook Activity” tools, which allow users to control how third-party apps and websites transmit data to the platform. “Off-Facebook Activity marks a new level of transparency and control,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a blog post. However, a Slate article advises: “But don’t assume it will change much about how Facebook uses your data to help power its business.”
