CIBC has renewed its partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, extending their collaboration through 2029. Originally launched in the 2009-2010 season, the partnership reaffirms CIBC’s dedication to the Blackhawks team and its commitment to serving the Chicago community.
The renewed agreement includes the debut of the CIBC Platinum Club, a premier experience for glass-level fans at the United Center. The exclusive club will offer enhanced amenities and access to enrich the game-day experience for fans. The sponsorship also includes CIBC’s branding and marketing throughout the arena, further cementing its presence and engagement within the Chicago fanbase.
In the meantime, the CIBC and Blackhawks partnership will extend to community-focused initiatives. With a long-standing commitment to community engagement, CIBC has significantly contributed to local initiatives and pledges to maintain its mission within the community.
CIBC Bank USA President and CEO and Senior Executive VP and Group Head, U.S. Region, Shawn Beber, stated, “We are looking forward to expanding on our partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, an organization that embodies the true spirit of Chicago. This collaboration not only allows us to strengthen our connections with clients, but also amplifies our commitment to enhancing the lives of those in our communities through meaningful engagement and support for critical causes.”
As part of the partnership, CIBC will remain the presenting sponsor of the team’s local Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, contributing $20,000 annually toward cancer research and support. The partnership includes a dedicated game night on January 26, 2025, for the cause and ongoing fan engagement opportunities throughout the year to honor and support cancer-affected families.
CIBC and the Blackhawks will also join forces for CIBC’s Miracle Day, held on the first Wednesday in December, raising funds for children in need and furthering community impact.
Chicago Blackhawks President of Business Operations, Jaime Faulkner, said, “We've poured an incredible amount of effort into revamping our Season Ticket Membership program over the last few years to ensure our most dedicated fans have the best possible experience, and we're thrilled CIBC has joined us in our efforts to offer premium and exclusive opportunities for our glass seat members throughout gameday. Our partnership with CIBC also goes beyond the rink. Together, through our Hockey Fights Cancer efforts as well as CIBC's own charitable initiatives, we will continue to make a meaningful impact in our local community.”
