RBC and Canadian Tire Launch Strategic Loyalty Partnership to Boost Rewards

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Canadian Tire Corporation have officially launched a new strategic loyalty partnership that links RBC’s Avion Rewards program with Canadian Tire’s Triangle Rewards platform, creating enhanced value for shared customers across both ecosystems.

Under the new arrangement, eligible RBC credit and debit cardholders who link their cards to a Triangle Rewards account can earn three times the amount of Canadian Tire Money on qualifying purchases at a variety of Canadian Tire retail banners. These include major brands such as Canadian Tire, SportChek, and Mark’s, among others.

To participate, cardholders must link their eligible RBC card to a Triangle Rewards account through the Avion Rewards site, then present their Triangle Rewards card at checkout and pay with the linked RBC card to earn the enhanced rewards.

Executives from both sides highlighted the collaboration’s focus on innovation and client value, noting that this partnership brings together two iconic Canadian brands and provides tangible benefits for millions of consumers. They also indicated that additional features, such as the future ability to convert Avion points to Canadian Tire Money, will roll out later in the year, expanding the flexibility and appeal of the program.
