National Car Rental Improves Automotive Customer Experience

National Car Rental has announced a partnership with Andru Edwards, CEO of Gear Live, to broadcast live from CES 2019 (the Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Edwards has become a prominent face in tech and consumer electronics, building a solid fanbase in the community. Edwards will report live from the CES showroom to cover the show and offer insight into the convergence of the tech industry and the automotive industry.

“As vehicle manufacturers have started to adopt consumer technologies like voice command, WiFi, driver assistance, and more, CES has become the top destination for auto brands to announce their latest advancements,” says Edwards. “National Car Rental has demonstrated through its own innovation as well as its presence at CES a commitment to introducing business travelers to the newest technology to enhance their experience both in and out of the car.”

With roughly 300,000 square feet of automotive exhibit space, CES has become one of the largest automotive shows in the United States. Thousands of tech and automotive enthusiasts flock to the show every year to share and view industry insights. The Edwards-National-Car-Rental partnership is intended to expand the information visitors can gather from attending the show.

National Car Rental has undertaken other ventures to improve the automotive enthusiast’s customer experience as well. For example, the company has integrated its new mobile application with its website platform. The app was recently announced as the highest rated app among automotive rental agencies in the “Business Travel News Car Rental Survey.” This integration brings the experience of the app to the company’s website.

In addition, National Car Rental’s parent company, Enterprise Holdings, recently announced a partnership with General Motors to increase the number of connected vehicles in the company’s fleet to 100,000 by the end of 2019.

“Today’s business travelers are more tech-savvy than ever, and they depend on reliable platforms and tools that bring speed, choice, and control to their travel,” says Frank Thurman, Vice President of Marketing for National Car Rental. “That’s why National has made technology and innovation a priority for our customers by forming partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure that our fleet is equipped with the best, cutting-edge technology.”
