Torchy’s Tacos Unveils May LTO Promotions
Torchy’s Tacos is rolling out a month-long lineup of limited-time offers in May, centered on seasonal celebrations and targeted appreciation promotions. The campaign begins with a Cinco de Mayo offer for loyalty members, featuring $2 off nachos for in-restaurant orders, including snack-sized nachos available during the brand’s Hooky Hour from 2 to 5 p.m. Guests can also pair the offer with half-price beer and house margaritas, adding a beverage-driven element to the promotion.
The brand is also using May to engage key customer communities through profession-focused promotions. During Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6–8, teachers who show valid identification can receive a buy-one-get-one taco offer when ordering at the register. A similar promotion follows May 11–13 for nurses during Nurse Appreciation. Both offers are limited to in-store orders and exclude kiosk, digital, and third-party transactions, reinforcing in-person traffic while recognizing these audiences.
Taken together, the May LTO strategy reflects a mix of value, occasion-based marketing, and community appreciation designed to drive engagement throughout the month.

Fresh Thyme Unveils MyThyme Rewards Points
Fresh Thyme Market has launched MyThyme Rewards Points, adding a points-based savings component to its existing MyThyme Loyalty Program to help customers manage rising grocery costs. Members now earn 10 points for every dollar spent with no cap on earnings, and points can be redeemed through the Fresh Thyme app for savings in increments of $5 to $20. New members can also earn 10,000 bonus points after signing up and spending $50, while existing members are automatically enrolled.
The new rewards structure is designed to give shoppers more flexibility while complementing existing loyalty benefits, including digital coupons, birthday rewards, curbside pickup, and weekly promotions. The company says members can stack points redemptions with other offers to maximize value, while also gaining access to bonus points opportunities, early access to deals, and exclusive product previews.
Fresh Thyme also positioned the launch as part of a broader evolution of its loyalty strategy, with future enhancements expected to include more personalized offers based on lifestyle and dietary preferences, expanded digital savings, and exclusive member content.

Subway Launches Fresh Value Menu Nationwide
Subway has introduced its first-ever nationwide Fresh Value Menu, a significant move as the brand looks to strengthen its position in the growing quick-service value competition. The menu features 15 items priced under $5, including four $3.99 Deli Faves sandwiches, four $3.99 Protein Pockets, and a rotating $4.99 Sub of the Day lineup. The new platform is designed to appeal to budget-conscious consumers while emphasizing variety, protein-forward options, and everyday affordability.
The launch signals a strategic response to broader industry pressure as major restaurant brands continue leaning into value-driven offerings amid cautious consumer spending. While Subway has long been associated with promotions like the $5 Footlong, this marks the first time the company has formalized a dedicated value menu across the system. Subway is also positioning the offer around convenience, with availability in-store, online, and through its app, along with optional meal upgrades.
Beyond price competition, the initiative reflects Subway’s effort to redefine value as a mix of affordability, quality, and flexibility. By combining lower-priced core menu options with rotating daily offers, the brand aims to drive traffic, reinforce relevance, and compete more aggressively in an increasingly crowded value marketplace.
