Bojangles’ and Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Announce New National Franchise Development Partnership
 
The national franchise development agreement includes 40 new Bojangles’ restaurants inside Love’s Travel Stops across four states – meaning more travelers throughout the Southeast and South Central regions of the U.S. will be able to enjoy the flavor of Bojangles’. The locations will be managed by a Bojangles’-trained Love’s team to ensure that Bojangles’ fans receive the familiar high-quality menu items they know and love. Through this new partnership, Bojangles’ will expand its footprint into four new states: Illinois, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Alaska Airlines is offering a perk – priority boarding – to guests wearing any kind of holiday sweater on Dec. 20, National Ugly Sweater Day. The one-day promotion includes all Alaska and Horizon Air flights. Alaska Airlines is celebrating the holidays throughout December, with festive décor and boarding music, as well as free holiday movies. "We know holiday travel can be stressful for some, which is why we've made sure flying with the 'merrier carrier' this time of year is an experience that brings nonstop joy to all our guests. We love going above and beyond to make your trip memorable; celebrating Ugly Sweater Day is just another way we're making the holidays a priority," said Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines' managing director of marketing and advertising.
 
Coke reinstates global CMO role in bid to unify marketing, operations
 
The Coca-Cola Company will bring back the global chief marketing officer role two years after retiring it, according to a news release. Manolo Arroyo will fill the position that now seeks to closely align marketing with operations. When Coke initially wound down the global CMO position in May of 2017, marketing duties moved to the then-newly formed appointment of chief growth officer, held by Francisco Crespo. Crespo, who has been with Coke for three decades, will retire in June 2020 after spearheading integrated global marketing, corporate strategy and customer and commercial operations as CGO.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. recently announced a restructuring of its leadership team, including the departure of six senior members. This reflects the priorities of new President and CEO, Mark Tritton, who will launch his new vision for the company in early 2020. “The new team will be charged with streamlining decision making, accelerating the pace of transformation, and re-establishing Bed Bath & Beyond’s authority in the home space through a more customer focused, omnichannel retail operation, a redefined product assortment, and a more convenient and inspirational shopping experience,” the company said in a release.
