Destination XL Group (DXL), the leading retailer for Big + Tall men, has introduced a major innovation aimed at solving one of the segment’s most persistent challenges: inconsistent sizing across different apparel brands. The new FiTMAP® Scanning Technology, now available on the DXL mobile app for iPhone and iPad as well as in more than 80 DXL stores nationwide, uses a quick and easy body scan to measure 243 data points. These measurements create a personalized “fit profile” that determines a customer’s correct size across more than 25 top brands, including Polo Ralph Lauren, Psycho Bunny, Brooks Brothers, Reebok, and more.

This technology directly addresses a frustration indiviiduals have faced for decades: while many retailers use generic size scales, fit varies dramatically from brand to brand. By scanning once and receiving accurate size recommendations across the entire DXL assortment, customers can shop more confidently both in-store and online. The scan not only simplifies the buying process but also reduces the trial-and-error that often leads to returns and dissatisfaction.

"At DXL, we believe every man deserves clothes that fit perfectly, helping him look and feel his very best. This new addition is one more way to empower our guests to step into the styles they love and wear what they want," said Harvey Kanter, President and CEO of DXL.

By pairing digital innovation with its broad assortment, DXL aims to elevate the shopping experience, deepen customer loyalty, and deliver on its promise of providing style without limitations. Customers interested in trying the new scanning technology can download the DXL app or visit one of the participating stores nationwide.
