Key takeaways:

  • Eligible elite members will be able to earn World of Hyatt points and Delta miles across qualifying flights and hotel stays.

  • The collaboration specifically connects World of Hyatt elite members with Delta SkyMiles Medallion members.

  • Hyatt and Delta plan to unveil exclusive experiences, benefits, and additional program details later this year.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Delta Air Lines are joining forces on a new long-term loyalty collaboration designed to make the entire travel journey more rewarding. When the partnership launches, eligible World of Hyatt elite members and Delta SkyMiles Medallion members will have the opportunity to earn rewards across both flights and hotel stays. Eligible Hyatt members will be able to earn World of Hyatt points on qualifying Delta airfare purchases, while eligible Delta Medallion members can earn miles on qualifying stays at participating Hyatt properties.

The partnership goes beyond earning points and miles. Hyatt and Delta plan to introduce exclusive benefits, experiences, and other perks aimed at creating a more connected premium travel experience from takeoff to checkout. The brands are already highlighting potential trip pairings—from Delta flights to Hong Kong, Rome, and Paris paired with stays at Grand Hyatt, Thompson, and Park Hyatt properties. More information about enrollment, eligibility, earning opportunities, and the official launch timeline is expected in the months ahead.

Why it matters:

  • Members can potentially get more value from the same trip by earning rewards across both airfare and accommodations.

  • Rather than treating flights and hotels as separate experiences, the companies are positioning loyalty around the traveler’s full journey.

  • For frequent travelers invested in either ecosystem, earning across both brands could make Delta-and-Hyatt combinations more attractive when choosing flights and hotels.
