CITGO Petroleum Corporation has announced an upgrade to its Club CITGO® loyalty program with the launch of a new mobile payment feature called CITGO PlusPAY™. This feature uses an Automated Clearing House (ACH) system that allows members to link their bank account and pay for fuel or in-store purchases straight from their phones, offering a convenient and streamlined payment experience without needing cash or credit cards.
The PlusPAY integration is designed to enhance convenience and value for customers by combining payment processing, transaction tracking, and reward earning all within the loyalty app. CITGO says the system incorporates advanced encryption and real-time authorization technologies to ensure secure payments and strong fraud protection from enrollment through every transaction.
New users are eligible for a one-time introductory reward of four occasions of 25¢ off per gallon (on up to 30 gallons each) when using PlusPAY through the app. After the introductory period, members continue to earn everyday savings of at least 10¢ per gallon (up to 30 gallons) on each PlusPAY transaction, which can stack with other loyalty offers.
