American Express Focuses on Customer Experience with App Redesign
American Express is evolving its app experience for consumers. The company is looking to provide a seamless, intuitive experience that melds its banking and credit card products into one app.

With the influx of digital consumers since the pandemic, it was important to provide customers with an easy application for them to control their funds.

The creation of the all-digital checking account was also, in part, created to attract Millennials and Gen-Z consumers, as research shows they’re more likely to use debit cards over credit cards or cash.
 
Chewy to Launch Chewy Loyalty Membership Program to Combat Post-COVID Market
Chewy is launching Chewy Loyalty and Sponsored Ads in 2023. The former will serve as a customer membership program, while the latter will allow suppliers to advertise across all its platforms.

Chewy has benefitted from the pandemic in two ways. As more people were forced to work from home, many adopted pets while they stayed indoors and bought supplies from Chewy in the process. This was compounded by a surge in online shopping that took place at the same time.

The company’s third consecutive quarterly loss comes as supply-chain issues and inflation have begun to outweigh record sales that have been lifted throughout the Covid-19 pandemic following a boom in pet adoption.
 
Chase and IHG New Mastercard Includes Added Loyalty Benefits
Chase and IHG Hotels & Resorts new Mastercard includes new loyalty benefits across the IHG Rewards Traveler and Premier Consumer Mastercard products. Cards feature benefits allowing cardmembers to earn points, as well as simplified pathways to IHG Rewards’ new Elite tiers and optimized ways to use points.

Additional benefits include ways to earn points through purchases on the card, a simplified way to reach the next IHG Rewards Elite status level, access to Mastercard Priceless Experiences, offers from brands for services like ride-sharing, food delivery, online shopping, and more.
