Red Lobster Creates “Snack Tackle Claw” for The Big Game
Just in time for Sunday’s Super Bowl, Red Lobster has unveiled “Snack Tackle Claw,” its limited-edition tool for use while snacking during the big game. “The ‘Snack Tackle Claw’ extends a party-goer’s reach and, just like a lobster claw, grabs snacks that may have otherwise been out of bounds,” it says in a company release. “Starting Saturday, February 1 and only while supplies last, the ‘Snack Tackle Claw’ will be available in limited quantities for $10 as an add on to any To Go or delivery order placed directly on RedLobster.com and at Red Lobster restaurants nationwide.”

Hard Rock Stadium Concessions Search for Sustainability with Super Bowl
Super Bowl LIV is set for Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Centerplate, the caterer for Hard Rock Stadium, and its parent company – French-based Sodexo – has partnered with Ball Corporation to offer the company’s recyclable aluminum cups at the Super Bowl. Sodexo Sports & Leisure CEO Nathalie Bellon-Szabo said the company is working with packaging-specialist Ball with the goal to eliminate plastic. “It’s very important to us to contribute to this event with social impact,” Bellon-Szabo said.
 
The Rite Aid Foundation Welcomes 2020 KidCents Charities
The Rite Aid Foundation brought in 481 nonprofits to its 2020 KidCents class and awarded more than $2.4 million to support charities that advance the wellbeing of children in communities that Rite Aid serves. “Over seven years, The Rite Aid Foundation has contributed a total of more than $34 million to KidCents charities across the country, thanks to members of Rite Aid’s loyalty program, wellness+ rewards, rounding up their in-store or online purchases to donate to KidCents,” a company release stated.

Insomnia Cookies Celebrates Loyalty Members with Insomniac Day
Insomnia Cookies hosted its first Insomniac Day on Tuesday, January 28. All 170 locations celebrated loyalty members with exclusive deals, including free delivery and 4X loyalty points. The company offered its “Cookie Dough” loyalty members $6 six-packs and $12 twelve-packs in-store from 9 p.m. to close. Insomnia Cookies also gave out instant gift cards through secret direct messages on the brand’s social media outlets.

Wawa Provides Customer Update on Previous Data Security Incident
In a company news release issued on Tuesday, Wawa stated: “Today, we became aware of reports of criminal attempts to sell some customer payment card information potentially involved in the previous Data Security Incident announced by Wawa on December 19, 2019. We have alerted our payment card processor, payment card brands, and card issuers to heighten fraud monitoring activities to help further protect any customer information. We continue to work closely with federal law enforcement in connection with their ongoing investigation to determine the scope of the disclosure of Wawa-specific customer payment card data.”
