Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Announces DoorDash Partnership
 
Cracker Barrel has announced a partnership with DoorDash to help give their customers another option for delivery. The brand is also offering half-off its Family Meal Baskets To-Go as well as $0 in delivery fees for the first 1,000 people who order through DoorDash starting April 30. "We have served as a home-away-from-home for more than 50 years, and as families spend even more time together now, we want to make mealtime a little easier by providing the comfort and value guests have come to expect from Cracker Barrel in their own home," said Jeff Sigel, Vice President of Marketing for Cracker Barrel, said in a press release. "We are pleased to partner with DoorDash to provide our homestyle food to guests, wherever they may be."
 
Panera Launches #SeeAPlateFillAPlate Challenge to Fight Hunger
 
Panera has launched the #SeeAPlateFillAPlate Challenge to help those in the United States donate and fill a plate for those in need. You can donate at TogetherWithoutHunger.org and give a $3 donation. Those who have donated are also encouraged by Panera to post on Instagram and tag five people to donate as well.  
 
“We are all facing this unprecedented crisis together, and many are struggling to put food on the table,” says Niren Chaudhary, Panera CEO, said in a statement. “We have a unique opportunity to come together—to be a catalyst for good through our See a Plate, Fill a Plate movement—together, we can help combat food insecurity in our communities and make good food accessible to all.”
 
Qdoba Unveils Everyday Heroes Campaign
 
Qdoba has started telling its guests to honor the everyday heroes in each of our lives by commenting on the brand’s Instagram account and sharing the person or group, reason and location of the nominee. Then, Qdoba will be giving burritos to 10,000 heroes. The company is also giving bonuses to general and assistant managers at all company-operated locations. States Reopen for Business, but Many Big Chains Sit It Out for Now
 
Even though a few states have started reopening, there are a few stores that have decided to stay closed for the time being, like Macy’s, Gap and TGI Fridays. Some of these states have allowed businesses like hair salons and bowling alleys to reopen but also said local authorities could choose to keep restrictions in place. “The Governor says one thing and a mayor says something else. There is a lot of conversation and it’s not necessarily congruent,” said Ray Blanchette, chief executive of TGI Fridays, in the above article from the Wall Street Journal.

HSBC Taiwan Partners with Ascenda to Enhance Rewards Offering
 
HSBC Taiwan has announced it is partnering with Ascenda to improve the HSBC rewards program and launch a new Traveler’s Card for Taiwanese travelers beginning in Q2 2020. Ascenda will help accelerate the digital fulfillment of rewards and expand the selection of rewards content customers can purchase using their points. "We are thrilled to partner with HSBC in Taiwan to enhance the Traveller's Card's rewards offering," said Sebastian Grobys, Chief Commercial Officer, Ascenda. "More seamless and instantaneous redemption experiences, along with an expanded selection of inspiring rewards options, will enable HSBC Taiwan to deepen customer engagement and provide a market-leading travel card."
