7-Eleven Waives Delivery Fees on 7NOW Delivery App

7-Eleven has announced it will offer free delivery with any purchase and promo code on all orders made through the brand's 7NOW delivery app, effective through April 30. To get this free delivery, customers just need to use the promo code FREE4U at the checkout. This delivery service allows for a contactless option (where customers indicate if they prefer that option), where 7-Eleven would have the delivery left at the door by the driver.

"7-Eleven is a neighborhood store known for convenience, and we believe it's our responsibility to help shoppers get what they need, where and when they need it, especially during this unprecedented pandemic," said 7-Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer Joe DePinto. "As citizens do the right thing by social distancing, quarantining, or sheltering in place, we want to make it easy for them to access essential food and household items."

7-Eleven has also done a lot for their customers and employees. In the case of health and safety, the brand has installed sneeze guards and visual floor markers. Personal cups for hot and cold beverages have been temporarily discontinued, and fresh food offerings have also had precaution made on them, including:

  • Open-air fresh food has been moved to clerk-served
  • Fresh baked goods will be sold pre-packaged
  • The fresh condiment bar has been replaced with a selection of pre-packaged condiments

"We know you rely on 7-Eleven to be open when you need us. As we all navigate through the changes that have come as a result of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, you can continue to count on us," 7-Eleven said on their website. "Since 1927, serving the community has been at the heart of what we do. Now more than ever, 7-Eleven Franchisees, corporate store leaders and store associates are showing their unwavering commitment to provide food and critical supplies, keep shelves stocked, and customers safe during this difficult time. They are the 7-Eleven Heroes."

Additionally, the brand has suspended the expiration of 7Rewards until June 15. It has enhanced its paid time off policy to help those who have fallen ill or those who risk illness. 7-Eleven also has announced it plans to hire as many as 20,000 new associates.

"7‑Eleven is a neighborhood store and it's our priority to serve the communities in which we operate during this unprecedented crisis," said 7‑Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer Joe DePinto in a press release. "Between 7‑Eleven, Inc. and our franchised business owners, we expect as many as 20,000 store employees to be hired in the coming months. This will provide job opportunities and ensure 7‑Eleven stores remain clean and in-stock with the goods our customers need during this critical time."
