Royal Caribbean Group Launches Loyalty Status Match Program

Royal Caribbean Group introduced its Loyalty Status Match program across its three core brands. The program will allow loyalty members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Silversea’s Venetian Society, and Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club to enjoy equivalent and reciprocal tier status regardless of which brand they choose.

“We strive to provide guests with experiences within our portfolio of brands that meet them for all of life’s moments,” said Jason Liberty, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “Each of our differentiated brands has passionate fans who take pride in the status they’ve achieved through repeat sailings. In a first for the cruise industry, our new Loyalty Status Match program rewards guests traveling across our brands, and this is one more step in our journey of transforming a vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations.”

The one-for-one status match program will provide members with exclusive onboard benefits and enhance their travel experiences. The automatic matching process will take up to seven days for members enrolled in multiple programs. For complete details, members can refer to the updated terms within each loyalty program.

Rakuten+ Plans Fall Launch for Exclusive Paid Membership Program

The Cash Back shopping platform Rakuten unveiled Rakuten+, a new exclusive paid membership program tailored for designer brands. The platform will launch in the fall and will give brands access to a curated group of highly engaged and loyal shoppers who will earn 10% or more Cash Back. These incentives have been shown to help brands grow their audiences and foster long-term loyalty.

“Rakuten+ offers a distinctive opportunity for designer brands to connect with some of Rakuten’s most active and loyal members who consistently shop and spend more with each purchase,” said Julie Van Ullen, Chief Revenue Officer of Rakuten Rewards. “By partnering with Rakuten+, these brands can tap into a unique value proposition within an exclusive luxury bubble. Rakuten+ offers a dedicated platform, built only for designer brands to showcase their offerings, enabling them to maintain their elevated brand perception while capitalizing on Rakuten’s unique Cash Back service to drive loyalty.”

A Rakuten study highlighted the platform’s impact on designer brands, revealing that Rakuten contributed to a 29% increase in shoppers for a leading high-end department store. The study showed that the increase would not have occurred without Rakuten’s influence. Higher Cash Back rates were also linked to increased average order value (AOV) and repeat purchases.

Gopuff Launches Basically Premium, Undergoes Private Label Expansion

Gopuff announced several enhancements to its “Basically” private label brand for consumers seeking more value amid rising inflation. Private-label sales reached record highs last year, and data suggests that consumers will increasingly continue purchasing private-label brands. Almost 20% of Gopuff orders reflect at least one private-label product, with the instant commerce platform witnessing a 70% year-over-year increase in sales for these items. Additionally, Gopuff has launched “Basically Premium,” a new line offering trendy, unique, and thoughtfully formulated products tailored to Gopuff customers. The launch includes several innovative product offerings, subcategories under the “Basically” brand flagship, and a refreshed visual identity.

“Our private label products have consistently ranked among Gopuff’s most-ordered items since they first launched two years ago,” said Bri Waldoch, Director of Private Label at Gopuff. “So today, we’re excited to bring to life an even wider assortment of high-quality, affordable, and delicious products we know our customers will love—each item specifically designed with Gopuff customers’ unique tastes and preferences in mind.”

The “Basically Premium” product line is designed with high-quality ingredients and fewer artificial additives. The new line includes gluten-free Beef Sticks comprised of 100% USA beef and no synthetic preservatives, as well as premium beverages like coconut water and aluminum-bottled spring water. Additionally, “Basically Premium” will include trending items like Freeze-Dried Candy and Mini Ice Cream Cones. Meanwhile, the expansion of the “Basically” brand includes everyday essentials such as sparkling water, puppy pads, and baby wipes. Gopuff plans to incorporate shelf-stable tea later this year.

A “Basically” brand refresh is also in the works, with a redesigned logo and packaging to enhance brand recognition and customer loyalty. The company is also introducing “Gopuff Exclusives,” a streamlined one-stop-shop platform within its app that allows customers to easily find the brand’s products and exclusive collaborations with Prime Video, Pure Green, and Juvee.
