At CES 2025, Delta Airlines unveiled several innovations to enhance the travel experience. A key highlight was the introduction of Delta Concierge, an AI-driven feature integrated into the Fly Delta app, providing passengers with personalized, real-time assistance throughout their travels.
Using generative AI, Delta Concierge can anticipate customer needs, offer tailored guidance, and automate tasks such as flight management, passport and visa reminders, and connect travelers to amenities like TSA PreCheck lines.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian said, “Delta is thinking differently about how we blend the digital and physical experiences, starting with the Fly Delta app. Our vision for Delta Concierge is that it will serve as an AI-powered personal assistant that combines the context of who our customers are and how they like to travel, with the deep knowledge and insights we’ve built as the world’s most reliable airline.”
Delta first previewed the concierge concept at CES 2020, and in 2025, is now ready to launch the tool. One of the most promising aspects of Delta Concierge is its ability to enhance pre-trip planning. The tool will offer destination-specific alerts, such as weather updates and tips for packing, and provide real-time notifications to help travelers navigate unfamiliar airports.
Future enhancements will include automatic connections to Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi and personalized seatback entertainment options. These features will create more opportunities for travelers to maximize the value of their SkyMiles membership.
Delta also announced strategic partnerships with Uber and Joby to create a fully integrated, multi-modal travel ecosystem. Delta Concierge will help passengers coordinate their entire trip, from airport transfers to flights, by linking their travel data across multiple platforms.
Delta’s collaboration with Uber will enable SkyMiles members to earn miles on eligible Uber rides and deliveries. The partnership will launch in spring 2025 and will further deepen the connection between Delta’s services and its customers.
Looking to the future, Delta’s collaboration with Joby Aviation promises to transform airport connectivity with electric air taxis. The partnership will provide travelers with a fast, sustainable way to get to and from airports in New York and Los Angeles.
