Academy Sports + Outdoors announced a nationwide rollout of its redesigned myAcademy Rewards program alongside a new myAcademy Rewards Mastercard Credit Card, developed with Bread Financial. The updated loyalty system centers on the credit card as the primary way to earn rewards, offering 5% off purchases at Academy and 2% back on everyday spending elsewhere.

This year, we’re doubling down on that promise with the relaunch of myAcademy Rewards, a loyalty program rebuilt for our customers, the Always Game Family. Bread Financial Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Val Greer, added, “This revamped program was thoughtfully designed to empower families with a rich value proposition, reflecting how they live and what they need to have more fun outdoors, whether that’s gear for weekend adventures, playing sports, or everyday needs.”
The free rewards program includes perks, such as a $15 welcome discount, birthday rewards, exclusive offers, and a $25 milestone bonus once the cardholder has spent $500 in a calendar year. Cardholders receive additional benefits like a same-day signup discount of $30, free shipping, and 2% back for external purchases. They also receive a $50 reward when spending $500 outside of Academy within the first three 90 days.
Academy has also upgraded its digital platform, allowing members to easily track and redeem rewards across online, app, and in-store channels. The initiative is designed to provide greater value and flexibility for families, helping them save money while enjoying sports and outdoor activities.
