Restaurant Brands Elevate the Customer Experience by Offering At-home Meal Kits

Fans of fast-casual and QSR brands like Taco Bell, The Melting Pot, and White Castle can take advantage of meal kits that allow them to cook up favorites usually enjoyed in-store or for takeout. Tasty options include:

  • Taco Bell’s Craving Kits: Developed in partnership with Kraft Heinz, Crunchwrap Supremes and Chipotle Chicken Quesadillas meal kits can be found at Walmart and via The two brands also collaborated on an SOS Kit for college students.

  • Melting Pot’s DIY Fondue Kit: “Melting Pot at Home” kits are delivered directly to fondue fans’ homes. Steak, shrimp, chicken, pork, meatball, and sausage “dippers” can be included with the kit as additional options.

  • White Castle*: The brand’s “Love Kit” includes sliders, candles, and “Craventines” cards — just in time for February.

“Melting Pot is all about creating shareable moments, but we understand that guests cannot always make it into our restaurants, so we wanted to bring the craveable fondue experience to them,” says Bob Johnston, CEO of the fondue concept.

Other brands have offered meal kits prior to the latest touted by Taco Bell, Melting Pot, and White Castle — the popularity rising before and during the recent pandemic. Chick-fil-A’s 2018 “Mealtime Kits” are one example of a brand testing meal kit options. The latest at-home meal kits — like those from White Castle — focus on “recreating the dining experience.” The branding, ingredients, and even the little extras, e.g., scented candles alongside Valentine’s Day sliders, are all poised to elevate the customer experience for foodies opting to dine at home.

* White Castle’s Love Kit has now sold out, according to the brand’s website.
