Slapfish Transitions Loyalty Program to Thanx Platform
The seafood restaurant chain Slapfish has relaunched its loyalty program on the customer engagement platform Thanx. The transition enables greater opportunities for personalization and real-time updates to reward choices.
“We chose Thanx as our platform due to its modern approach to delivering a seamless guest experience while authentically representing our brand. Thanx empowers us to stay at the forefront of our industry,” said Slapfish President Dan Anfinson.
Going forward, the Slapfish program will focus on exclusive member offers and experiences rather than deep discounting. The company says sign-ups have increased by 17% since the refreshed program went live a few weeks ago.
Amazon Fresh Store First Grocery to Earn Zero Carbon Certification
An Amazon Fresh Store in Seattle received Zero Carbon Certification from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), becoming the world’s first grocery store to get the certification.
The 35,000-square-foot store open in 2022 with sustainability features like natural refrigerants, all-electric utilities, electric vehicle charging stations, and low-carbon concrete floors. The store has saved over 100 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) since it opened.
Amazon has committed to reaching net-zero carbon emission companywide by 2040. Three store locations in California are currently on track to receive the ILFI certification.
Delta Modifies Planned Changes to Loyalty Program After Complaints
When Delta Air Lines announced significant changes to its loyalty program last month, customers flocked to their keyboards with complaints. Most expressed disappointment over new limits on lounge access and increased tier requirements.
Delta responded last week by softening some of the changes. Starting February 1, 2025, holders of the SkyMiles Reserve credit card will get 15 visits to Sky Club lounges per year, up from a planned 10 visits. SkyMiles Platinum cardholders are set to receive 10 visits instead of six. Multiple same-day visits will be counted as a single visit.
Delta is also lowering the annual spending requirements for its Medallion status tiers by $1,000 to $7,000, depending on the tier.
