Raley’s Enhances Loyalty Program with Quarterly Gift Boxes  

The grocery chain Raley’s has announced it will ship curated gift boxes to customers in the top tier of its Something Extra loyalty program. The boxes will go out every quarter starting this fall. Members will receive about 20 personalized items, including their favorite products and samples to try.  

Raley’s will ask customers to complete a survey about the items in the box. The retailer will share survey and sales data with suppliers that participate in the program.   

Consumers have turned away from traditional in-store sampling since the COVID-19 pandemic. Grocers are exploring safer alternatives like home delivery and automated dispensers.  

 

Survey: Marketers Focused Investment, AI for 2024  

The branding firm Matter Communications has released findings from its 2024 Marketing Outlook Survey. The company surveyed 270 marketing leaders in a range of U.S. industries.  

The survey found that 84% of leaders plan to increase their overall marketing budgets. The top three areas identified for increase were social media (52%), content marketing (38%), and brand building (35%).  

Nearly 85% of respondents said they already use AI tools in their marketing programs. Of the 79% who plan to invest in AI in 2024, 60% said AI investment will account for 10% or more of their total marketing budget. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool, with 48% reporting they use it.  

“Our survey results demonstrate that senior-level marketers will continue to invest in programs and services that deliver true brand building ROI like robust social and content programs,” said Mandy Mladenoff, President of Matter Communications.   

 

Hyatt Offers Bonus Rewards on Mr & Mrs Smith Gifts Cards  

Earlier this year, Hyatt Hotels acquired the London-based luxury hotel booking platform Mr & Mrs Smith. The relationship is paying off for World of Hyatt members with new opportunities to earn rewards.  

Through March 31, members will receive 5 base points for every $1 spent on Mr & Mrs Smith gift cards purchased through Hyatt. In addition, for every $300 spent, members earn 1 tier-qualifying night credit toward their World of Hyatt tier status.  

Mr & Mrs Smith provides bookings at more than 1,900 hotels and villas across the world. The properties are anonymously reviewed by the firm’s in-house travel specialists.
