Starbucks Pickup and Amazon Go Collaborate
The new store integrates the digital and physical retail experience, bringing together the connection and comfort of a Starbucks café and convenience of Amazon Go’s Just Walk Out Shopping experience.

The new Starbucks Pickup with Amazon Go, located in New York City at 59th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues, opens on November 18. The store is a combination of a Starbucks Pickup and Amazon Go, utilizing the order ahead feature in the Starbucks app and Amazon Go’s Just Walk Out technology to create an easy checkout experience, alongside a modernized lounge that features individual workspaces and expanded tables with power outlets and USB ports. The new store offers the full Starbucks menu and a curated assortment of food and beverages in the Amazon Go market, including fresh-prepared salads, sandwiches, bakery items, and snack options.
 
CVS to Close 900 Stores Over Three Years
CVS Health Corp. said it will close 900 stores over the next three years, nearly 10% of its U.S. locations, while adding more health services at remaining locations. The largest U.S. pharmacy chain said it would close 300 stores a year while adding primary-care offices at certain sites as well as converting more stores into so-called health hubs with offerings such as diagnostic testing, mental-health services and hearing exams.

“The company has been evaluating changes in population, consumer buying patterns and future health needs to ensure it has the right kinds of stores in the right locations for consumers and for the business,” CVS said in a statement.
 
Taco Bell’s Elite Rewards Members Can Earn Free Friendsgiving Party Packs
Taco Bell is inserting its brand into the family holiday meal of the most loyal fans this year with a new Friendsgiving Party Pack launched Wednesday. Available on a first come, first served basis, the party pack is available for free to loyalty club members who reach “Fire!” Rewards status. 

The elite group will be emailed a link with instructions on how to order the party packs, which include ready-to-heat Taco Bell-inspired items, like Cinnabon Delights Candied Yams; dinner rolls with hot sauce packet butter; Green Bean Casserole Supreme with the “cheesy and craveable components of a Taco Supreme;” and a Build Your Own Dessert Nachos option, with chocolate and caramel sauces and crunchy toppings to drizzle over shortbread cookies.
 
The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation Innovation Fund Makes Impact
The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation announced that Agua Bonita and Matriark Foods were peer-selected for impact investment funding during its first-ever Venture Showcase, an event highlighting the second cohort of its Innovation Fund.

In May 2021, the "Fund," in collaboration with Village Capital, the largest supporter of impact-driven, seed-stage startups in the world, selected 10 startups that are launching innovative new consumer products made with surplus food or food byproducts and technologies to advance the upcycled food industry. Earlier in the year, the Fund invited innovators to submit proposals for a total of $2 million in non-dilutive grant funding.
