Sally Beauty Launches DIY Hair Salon

Sally Beauty launched a new concept store, complete with a DIY hair salon to provide space for its customers to use hair coloring products. The pilot Studio By Sally’s location opened in Denton, TX as a space to engage, educate, and empower loyal customers.

Customers in the concept store can purchase products and participate in hands-on education on using those products. Licensed stylist educators help customers choose the right products, then teach them to apply, customize, and achieve salon-quality looks.

The Body Shop US Introduces Refillable Makeup

The Body Shop will offer refillable makeup options, adding to the previous year’s refillable hair care, shower gel, and hand soap options. The new offering increases the brand’s sustainability efforts.

In the first year of its sustainability efforts, the US refill program diverted 576 pounds of plastic from being wasted, equal to 12,749 bottles. On a global scale, the brand prevented 500,000+ bottles from entering the environment.

Ford Collaborates with Celebrities on Social Media Content

Ford will launch social media campaigns featuring various aspects of the brand in partnership with Sydney Sweeney, Dee Bryant, and Kai Lenny. As part of the brands’ “Built Ford Proud” campaign, the goal of the content is to showcase the people behind the wheel instead of the car itself.

The campaign starts with a collaboration on Sweeney’s TikTok channel, “Syd’s Garage,” in which she restores vintage Ford vehicles. Bryant will host a series called “Stuff Only Dee Should Do,” featuring the stunt driver and 2024 Mustang. Lenny will launch a series of surf boards inspired by Ford’s F-Series and donate the first 8 to the Positively Kai Foundation.
