Loyalty Reads: BP Acquires TravelCenters of America, Jeni’s Partners with Warner Bros on Ted Lasso Ice Cream, and More

BP Acquires TravelCenters of America 

BP will purchase all TravelCenters of America outstanding stock for $1.3 billion in one of the largest quick-service acquisitions since the pandemic. With the deal, BP will own all 281 TravelCenters locations. 

BP will also take over the 600+ casual-dining and quick-service restaurants partnerships TravelCenters managed, with some of the largest names in the industry. The purchase follows TravelCenters’ successful turnaround plan following the pandemic, with a 67% net increase in profit during Q3 of 2022. 


Jeni’s Partners with Warner Bros on Ted Lasso Ice Cream 

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams will release a Ted Lasso inspired ice cream in partnership with Warner Bros Discovery Global. “Biscuits with the Boss” will launch on March 2, 2023 through pickup and delivery over the Jeni’s app or in scoop shops. 

The partnership also comes with Ted Lasso and Jeni’s merchandise, exclusively available for members of Jeni’s loyalty program: Jeni’s Splendid Rewards. Jeni’s will also give surprise items to the first in-store customers on the drop day. 


T-Mobile Gives Customers MLS Season Pass on Apple TV 

T-Mobile will reward customer loyalty with a free MLS season pass through the Apple TV App. The pass is worth $99 per year and will be available to all T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers. 

The season pass comes as part of T-Mobile’s efforts to improve customer experience beyond just providing wireless service. Previously, the mobile carrier decided to provide all customers with a free Apple TV+ subscription.
