7-Eleven Gives Pi Day Pizza Discount 

7-Eleven will discount its whole pizzas on Mar 14, 2023, to help customers to celebrate Pi Day. 7Rewards® and Speedy Rewards ® members can purchase a whole pizza for $3.14 on 3.14.23 to represent the shortened version of the mathematical constant pi: 3.14. 

Loyalty members can access the deal in-store at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations or through the 7NOW® Delivery app. Additionally, members can use the app to access the deal early on Mar 13. 

 

Consumers Display Privacy Concerns with Metaverse 

A recent TELUS International survey revealed consumers are concerned about personal data security in the Metaverse. 60% of respondents said they would be uncomfortable completing tasks in the digital world due to privacy and data security concerns. 

With a high concern of data loss or identify theft among consumers, brands need to ensure both strong security measures alongside effective communication on the security measures taken. 25% of survey respondents said they would feel more comfortable if brands displayed robust and transparent security guidelines. 

 

Instacart Adds ChatGPT to Shopping App 

Instacart Inc. will add OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology to its app to power a new search engine designed to answer user questions about food. The service will improve customer experience by helping search for recipes and their ingredients, among other food or meal options. 

The new “Ask Instacart” feature will use ChatGPT’s language software to provide a voice response to user questions instead of a list of results. Additionally, Instacart will supplement the new feature with its own AI software, allowing the new AI feature to access products and grocery stores in Instacart’s database.
